Wasps snap up Ulster bound All Black Piutau

Charles Piutau

Ulster bound All Blacks and Blues winger Charles Piutau will sign a short
term contract with English Rugby club Wasps.

Twenty-three-year-old Piutau agreed to join Ulster from next season (2016-7)
as he wanted to be available for the All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup squad.

Piutau was left out of the All Black squad and was left without a club until
next July when he was to join the Pro12 side.

Ulster could not bring him into the squad earlier than July as there foreign
allocation is full so the utility back was in danger of sitting out of rugby
until July.

Piutau expected to re-sign with Blues and New Zealand Rugby but they decided
against signing him once news of his Ulster signing in April this year broke.
