Wales have suffered a further blow to their Rugby World Cup campaign as Eli
Walker has been released from their Rugby World Cup squad due to injury.
Walker suffered a hamstring injury and a statement from the Welsh Rugby Union
said that, “Due to the nature of the impending competition and the potential
for his injury to extend into the latter stages of the Pool stage, the decision
has been made to release Eli at present.”
Gloucester flanker Ross Moriarty has been called into Wales’ 31-man squad and
will link up with the rest of the squad on Tuesday.
