French Top 14 strugglers Oyonnax will be without their explosive winger Fetu’u Vainikolo for the rest of the Rugby season after he underwent surgery.
The Tongan winger has had surgery on his knee which will rule him out for the rest of the season.
Vainikolo sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the 25-12 defeat by Stade Francais in Top 14 action on December 30 and went under the knife on Friday.
Oyonnax are 13th in the Top 14 and host Ulster in the European Cup on Saturday, bidding for a first win in the continent’s showpiece club tournament.
