Senatore joins Argentina Super Rugby team

Leonardo Senatore will play Super Rugby for the new Argentina franchise

Argentina’s Rugby World Cup number eight Leonardo Senatore has agreed to join Puma’s new  “yet to be named” Super Rugby franchise for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Senatore has been playing in England for Worcester Warriors and has signed a two year contract that will keep him with the UAR until December 2017.

“Everything counted in my decision to return home, to play in such a tournament, be close to the family,” said Senatore on the UAR site.

“Super Rugby has an impressive dynamic hard to find in other tournaments… you can see the best rugby in any match.”

Thirty-one-year-old Senatore was part of the Argentina squad that reached the semi-finals in England last month.

The majority of that World Cup squad have already signed to play Super Rugby for the new Argentina franchise.
