Milner-Skudder starts for Hurricanes against Blues

The Hurricanes have named their team to play the Blues at the FMG Stadium in Palmerston North on Friday with Manawatu fullback Nehe Milner-Skudder making his first start.

Milner-Skudder will make his first Hurricanes start in front of a home crowd after a strong performance before the bye against the Western Force in Perth.

The Manawatu fullback started the 2015 season with a knee injury but has fully recovered so he starts at fullback which pushes James Marshall onto the replacements bench.

Matt Proctor also gets a start in place of resting All Black, Cory Jane, while TJ Perenara comes back into the starting line-up. Jeremy Thrush returns from injury and will occupy a spot on the bench.

Friday’s game marks a solid 20-year Super Rugby rivalry between the Hurricanes and Blues, which began in 1996 when the two sides kicked off the competition in Palmerston North.
