Clegg to leave Glasgow for Oyonnax in Top 14

Rory Clegg will play Top 14 Rugby in France next season

Glasgow Warriors fly-half Rory Clegg has agreed to join French Top 14 Rugby club Oyonnax Rugby having signed a short-term contract with the club in the summer.

Clegg will leave the Warriors at the end of the month, when his contract expires.

Clegg has acted as cover during the Rugby World Cup period and impressed, scoring 39 points in three appearances.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: “Rory has been an excellent addition to our squad.

“He has played very well in the start to the Pro12, which is a result of both his rugby ability and also his professionalism.

“He’s worked hard to improve himself over the past two months and we are looking forward to having Rory with us before he departs for a new challenge.

“We’d like to thank him for his help during his time at the club and would like to wish him all the best in France.”
