All Black Vito agrees Top14 move to La Rochelle

Victor Vito will join La Rochelle later this year

Two time All Black World Cup winner and Hurricanes back rower Victor Vito has agreed to leave New Zealand and play in France’s Top 14.

Hurricanes back-row forward Vito will join Top 14 club La Rochelle after he completes his commitments to the Wellington Super Rugby franchise this season.

Twenty-eight-year-old Vito has played for the Hurricanes since 2009 and has now signed a three year contract with La Rochelle

Capped 33 times by the All Blacks, Vito’s last appearance for New Zealand was in the Rugby World Cup final against Australia when he came off the bench for the last nine minutes.

He will join up with a handful of fellow New Zealanders at La Rochelle, on the western Atlantic coast of France, including an All Black in lock Jason Eaton.
