Vincent Koch could be set for a move to Europe

Out of the last six Super Rugby matches between the Durban based Sharks and the Cape Town based Stormers both teams have won three matches each.

The Sharks and the Stormers have already played once this season and the Stormers won 13-29 in Cape Town.

Overall the Sharks have played the Stormers 13 times in Super Rugby and the Sharks have won 11 matches and lost 12.

This weekend the match will be played in Durban which is home for the Sharks and where the teams have met 11 times. In those 11 matches the Sharks have won 6 times and lost five times.

That gives the Sharks a record of winning 55% of their home matches against the Stormers at home. The average score when the Sharks play the Stormers in Durban is : Sharks 20 Stormers 19.

The Sharks are already out of contention for the play offs while the Stormers have qualified and have won the South African Conference.

The Stormers have played 15 matches and won 10. The Stormers have played 7 matches away from home and won four.

The Sharks are in 11th place after 15 matches and they have won six matches. They have played 7 matches at home and won four.

The Stormers can finish in second place but they will need several other results to go their way. In all likelihood second place will be wrapped up by the time they kick off so coach Allister Coetzee has made sweeping changes to rest his players.

Coetzee has made 14 changes to the side that played last week and the only player that is retained in the starting line up is Nizaam Carr.

The Sharks on the other hand have named a strong side that features the outgoing trio of Jannie du Plessis, Bismarck du Plessis and Willem Alberts.

The match will be the last time that the Springbok trio will play Super Rugby for the Sharks as they are all departing for Europe after the world cup so the Sharks will want to give them a happy send off.

The Bookies have given the Stormers an 8 point start for this Match – with an offer of a 100% Deposit Bonus up to $200. The Stormers massive changes all but sealed the result in this contest. The Sharks should win this by 8.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 3/HD on the Red Button.
