McGahan keeps the faith in his Rebels for the Force

Rebels head coach Tony McGahan has named an unchanged Super Rugby team to play the Western Force at AAMI Park on Friday.

The Rebels beat the Bulls 21-20 last weekend so McGahan has kepth the faith as the Rebels look for a fifth straight home victory.

“I was very pleased with the efforts of the entire squad on Saturday to secure a tough win against a quality Bulls side,” McGahan said. “It was a relatively easy decision to retain the same lineup for Saturday, in what will be another big test for our group.

“We are determined to secure a positive result to finish the season on a good note and take momentum into 2016.”

Rebels Co-Captain Scott Higginbotham (Japan) and Paul Alo-Emile (France) will be departing Melbourne at the end of the season, and McGahan said their teammates are determined to send them out on a positive note.

“We all want to win the final match of the campaign, and with some fantastic Club men departing that desire only intensifies. We’re also aware, however, that our opposition will have the same focus, so we’ll need to be at our best to successful on Friday.

The Rebels will wear a limited edition BLK Superman jersey on Friday as part of the Club’s Super Hero round, with all children under twelve who dress as a Super Hero entitled to a free general admission ticket.
