Quade Cooper commits to Toulon for two seasons

Wallabies and Reds flyhalf Quade Cooper has agreed to leave Australia and play in France for two seasons with on option for a third season with Toulon.

According to reports in French media Cooper has been in Toulon with club owner Mourad Boudjellal and has agreed to join the French Top 14 and Heineken Cup champions.

Toulon already have former Wallabies Matt Giteau and Drew Mitchell in their squad and All Black centre Ma’a Nonu has agreed to join the club.

Cooper is currently sidelined with a broken scapula so he used the time to visit France and look at the likes of Toulon.

Last week it was revealed that Cooper had put his six bedroom home in Hawthorne Brisbane on the market.

Cooper’s fellow Reds and Wallabies internationals Will Genia and James Horwill have also agreed to play in Europe after the world cup.

An official announcement is expected to follow.
