D-Day awaits bad boy Grewcock

Bath and England lock Danny Grewcock will have to wait until Monday to discover whether or not he will be banned by a European Rugby Cup disciplinary panel.

Grewcock was charged with allegedly punching his Clermont Auvergne opposite number Thibault Privat in the European Challenge Cup final.

The hearing was held in London on Friday but the three-man commission has left Grewcock to sweat over the result until Monday.

Grewcock could be handed down a hefty suspension having had brushes with the rugby law during his career. A long ban could put

his slim England chances for the World Cup in jeopardy.
