Wales call up James Hook for Biggar

Gloucester flyhalf James Hook has been called into the Wales squad ahead of their Tests against Fiji and New Zealand following an injury to flyhalf Dan Biggar.

Biggar injured his groin playing in Wales’ 33-28 loss to Australia’s Wallabies on Saturday and Hook rejoins the Wales squad.

Hook toured South Africa with Wales earlier this year so will be familiar with the coaching set up and the squad.

The flyhalf has won 76 caps for Wales and will be available to play against Fiji and New Zealand but not South Africa on Nov. 29 as he plays in England and the Test is outside the Test window.

Wales could also lose fullback Leigh Halfpenny for the Fiji Test this week after he went off with concussion against Australia but so far only Hook has been called up as cover and no players have been released from the squad.
