Springboks delay decision on Pienaar’s fitness

The Springboks have revealed that they will make a decision on the fitness of Ulster and Springboks scrumhalf Ruan Pienaar on Tuesday.

South Africa start their Northern Hemisphere tour against Ireland in Dublin this weekend and the Boks will make a decision on Pienaar’s fitness for the tour later today.

The Springbok medical team said that Although Pienaar came through the tests without any problems they have chosen to delay their decision.

“We would just like to see how he responds overnight, but at the moment it’s looking positive,” said Springbok team doctor Craig Roberts.

South Africa face England next weekend and have matches against Italy and Wales to follow.
