Quade Cooper in doubt for Wallabies year end tour

Wallabies fly half Quade Cooper is in doubt for Australia’s end of year tour of Europe after his surgery date was put back for at least one week.

Cooper was scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on Friday this week so that he could have a chip of cartilage removed from his knee.

Cooper originally injured the knee last year playing in the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

However the surgery date was delayed as Cooper suffered a small cut playing in Australia’s Rugby Championship test against Argentina last weekend.

Cooper has revealed that the operation will now take place in a week to 10 days.

The playmaker is expected to take around six weeks to recover from the operation so the delay puts his availability for Australia’s European tour in doubt.

The Wallabies play their first match on tour against France on November the 10th.
