Waldrom and Banahan join England 6N squad

Leicester Tigers eighthman Thomas Waldrom and Bath back Matt Banahan have joined up with the England training squad ahead of this coming weekend’s Six Nations match against Scotland at Murrayfield.

No.8 Waldrom and wing/centre Banahan, part of the England Saxons side that beat Irish Wolfhounds 23-17 at Exeter on Saturday, take over from Gloucester Rugby pair Luke Narraway (calf) and Henry Trinder (ankle) who will remain at their club for treatment.

Also staying at their clubs this week are Leicester Tigers fly half Toby Flood (knee), Northampton Saints lock Courtney Lawes (knee), Leicester Tigers centre Manusamoa Tuilagi (calf) and Northampton Saints flanker Tom Wood (foot).
