Stade Francais flanker Mauro Bergamasco has been added to the Italy squad which will meet up for a pre-World Cup get-together in Cesena later this month.
Thirty-two-year-old Bergamasco missed the whole of the Six Nations tournament in February and March due to a shoulder injury.
Bergamasco is the only player in the 30-man squad plying his club trade outside of Italy and plays in Frace.
The get-together will last from May 24-26 after which Bergamasco will be part of the Italy A squad taking part in June’s Churchill Cup in England.
