Traille to miss Biarritz’s Top 14 play-off clash

Biarritz centre Damien Traille will miss his team’s Top 14 play-off clash at Clermont on Friday due to the foot injury that has kept him out of action since the middle of last month.

The club said the 31-year-old France international has not recovered sufficiently to play.

But French team-mate, prop Sylvain Marconnet looks set to make the match against the 2010 champions as he took part in two training sessions having recovered from a shoulder injury.

Clermont will also be without key players as captain and France centre Aurelien Rougerie is out with a dislocated ankle and also his Samoan centre partner George Pisi, who has a groin injury.

The winners will go on to play in the semi-finals four-time European Cup winners Toulouse, who finished top of the Top 14 standings after the final round of matches last Saturday.
