Henson given the boot by Top14 club Toulon

Wales international back-liner Gavin Henson has been dismissed by his French Top 14 Rugby club Toulon.

Reports out of France say that Toulon’s owner Mourad Boudjellal dismissed Henson for a “breach of the code of conduct”.

Toulon suspended Henson last week after he was reported to have criticized club captain Joe Van Niekerk and club icon Jonny Wilkinson while under the influence of alcohol.

The same reports revealed that Henson was punched by Australian scrum-half Matt Henjak for his verbal attack.

Twenty-nine-year-old Henson joined Toulon from Aviva Premiership club Saracens
in February this year but has only made two appearances.
