Brumbies vs Hurricanes Super Rugby preview

The Brumbies have played six matches so far this season and won one. Their only win came in Round One against the Chiefs and since that time it has been pretty much a struggle and even Brumby Jack (pictured) took a turn for the worse.

Current coach Tony Rea has yet to see his team win in four matches and if he looks at the Brumbies recent record against the Hurricanes he won’t be expecting a win this weekend.

The Hurricanes and the Brumbies have played each other 16 times and surprisingly both teams have won 8 matches each. However the Hurricanes have won the last four straight matches against the Brumbies which means that their last two visits to Canberra the Brumbies have lost.

On average when these teams meet the Brumbies score 26 points and the Hurricanes 28. However in Canberra the averages swing to the Brumbies favour at 28-25.

The Brumbies have stuck with the same combinations from last week while the Hurricanes have replaced Daniel Kirkpatrick with Aaron Cruden and Tyson Keats and Chris Eaton have exchanged places. This could be just the spark the Hurricanes need.

It is common knowledge that the Hurricanes aren’t gelling and the same can be said for the Brumbies this year. Both teams have won just the one match this year.

The Bookies have given the  Hurricanes a two point start – with an offer of Bet10 and Get 10. This one is such a tough one to call as neither team have shown much form. We think both teams will be happy with a draw so we are going to call this one a draw.
