Force vs Rebels Super Rugby preview

The Force and the Rebels have never played each other but there will be plenty of tension in their first meeting as the Force (Perth) beat the Rebels (Melbourne) for the right to play in the Super 14 five years ago.

Against Australian opposition the Force have a fairly poor record as they have won just 31 % of their matches. The Force on average score 18 points against Australian opposition who score 21 points.

The Rebels have shown glimpses of brilliance at times in their matches but never away from home. Away from home they have really struggled with the worst of those being against the Reds.

The Rebels will have gained some confidence from last week’s beating of the Hurricanes but that was again at home.

The Force on the other hand have spoken of their frustration at losing to the Stormers as they feel that they are a better team than the one that played against the Cape side.

The Bookies have given the Rebels a 12 point start – with an offer of Bet 10 and Get 20. Going on past form the Rebels should struggle and the Force should win by 8.
