England land easy Pool at Wellington Sevens

IRB Sevens tournament leaders England have been grouped with Wales, United States and the Cook Islands in Pool A of the IRB World Sevens Series in Wellington, New Zealand.


The event which kicks off on the 4th and the 5th of February 2011 is the third leg of the Sevens circuit after England won the first leg in Dubai but lost to New Zealand in the final of the George South Africa sevens leg last weekend.


Hosts New Zealand have drawn Argentina, Scotland and Papua New Guinea in Pool B.


Perennial Sevens stars Fiji have been draw with South Africa France and Canada.


In Pool D Samoa have drawn Australia, Kenya and Tonga.


After the first two events in Dubai and South Africa, England lead the World Series with 44 points from New Zealand (40), Samoa (36) and Fiji (32) with South Africa lying fifth on 24.


The Wellington crowd is renowned as one of the best supporting crowds and they go beyond the call each year dressing up in the wildest fancy dress costumes.
