Bru to hang up his boots

Former France international Yannick Bru will retire at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old hooker earned 18 caps for his country during his career, including two as skipper in the 2003 World Cup.

His club record with Toulouse is even more impressive, with two French Championships and two European Cup-winners medals in his collection.

“As captain of Toulouse and the France team, Yannick knew how to gain the trust of his team-mates,” said Toulouse coach Guy Noves.

“He has decided to retire after having advised club president Rene Bouscatel and myself.

“He has always put his intelligence and availability at the service of others. Yannick can be assured of the respect of all the club because he’s accepted by all around him.”
