Eagles coach rings the changes

SWD Eagles coach Johann Lerm made wholesome changes to his side for Saturday’s make-or-break First Division rugby match against the unbeaten Pumas at Outeniqua Park.

Selithemba Zweni comes in on the right wing in the place of Jano van Zyl, Jandré du Plessis and Ricardo Croy become the new centre pairing in the place of Izak Saayman and Joe Breytenbach, Dougie Hellmuth replaces Warren Malgas at scrumhalf, Vincent Gwavu will wear the No 7 jersey at the expence of Shawn Raubenheimer and Giant Mtyanda is back at lock in the place of Hein Potgieter.

Lerm said the match is very important for the home side who are currently third on the log.

Asked what his predictions were, Lerm said: “I am a man of very few words before a match, but I’m convinced we can pull it off.

“The team has great potential and therefore we need to take our chances,” he said.

The kick-off is at 3pm.
