South Western District Eagles coach Johann Lerm has made three changes to his side for Saturday’s First League rugby match against the Griffons in Welkom.
Right wing Norman Nelson has injured a hamstring and is replaced by Bobby Joubert, while scrumhalf Jandré Blom – the Eagles first-choice goal kicker – is out with a back injury. He is replaced by Warren Malgas.
And at lock stalward Henry Grimes gets a well-deserved rest after three years of unbroken play.
“Jandré could be out between two and nine weeks. That is quite a setback,” Lerm said.
And to cover for Blom has acquired the services of Griquas scrumhalf Dougie Hellmut, who is on loan till Blom is regains fitness.
