The South Western District Eagles rugby team’s coach Johann Lerm said on Monday that the team aims to go through the second round of the First Division unbeaten.
The Eagles have everything in their favour. They only play two away matches against the Griffons (September 12) and the Valke (September 26).
Lerm said his side’s 15-6 win against Eastern Province in Port Elizabeth was because of the low risk rugby his side played.
In George it is no secret that the Eagles are still disappointed about their narrow defeat against log-leaders the Pumas at Witbank recently.
“We knew we could have won it. Now it is time for them to come to Outeniqua Park,” a confident Lerm said. Lerm also had a compliment for the EP Elephants.
“There is a huge difference between the EP Vodacom Cup side and the Currie Cup one.
“I’m convinced EP are going to shock a few teams in the second round,” he said
