Julien Frier, the Bourgoin back row forward (No 6) will appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee in Dublin on Thursday, 4 June, 2009 as a result of a citing arising from the European Challenge Cup final against Northampton Saints at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday, 22 May, 2009.
The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Ray Wilton (Wales), is for an alleged strike on Northampton Saints player Euan Murray (No 3) in contravention of Law 10.4 (a).
The independent Disciplinary Committee will be chaired by Pat Barriscale (Ireland) and also comprise Simon Thomas (Wales) and John West (Ireland).
Law 10.4 (a) states that a player must not punch or strike an opponent.
