Doorey off to Japan

Australian Grant Doorey, Bourgoin’s defensive coach, is off to Japan to join John Kirwan.

Kirwan has recently taken over the coaching of the Japanese national side and will be taking them to the World Cup in France in September this year. Doorey will now be part of the Japanese coaching team.

Doorey, a former rugby league player, came to Bourgoin in 2004 after two seasons with the Italian national side whose coach then was John Kirwan. Then, too, he was responsible for defence.

Doorey, who is 38, is die to leave after round 22 of the Top 14, which will be played on 13-14 April this year.
