Sackey returns as one of ten Wasps changes for Quins

Ian McGeechan welcomes back England internationals Paul Sackey, Danny Cipriani, James Haskell, Tom Rees and Phil Vickery to his side ahead of Wasps clash with local rivals Harlequins at Adams Park on Sunday.


Making 10 changes and one positional switch to his starting line up ahead of the London derby, an experienced Wasps outfit will kick off the New Year in front of the home crowd this weekend.


Captain Phil Vickery will lead a side which sees the return of Wasps England players, Irish scrum half Eoin Reddan and Dominic Waldouck and Mark Van Gisbergen to the starting line up.


Absent from the side is Tim Payne, rested this weekend as part of the EPS agreement, as well as Josh Lewsey, Tom Palmer and Joe Worsley ruled out due to injury.


Looking ahead to the game McGeechan said; “As the first game of the New Year we are keen to make a strong start in front of our home crowd. Facing Harlequins, the inform side, we know this game will be a challenge and we are looking forward to a big test at Adams Park.”
