Elissalde and Sowerby extend contracts with Toulouse

France scrum-half Jean-Baptiste Elissalde on Wednesday extended his contract with French giants Toulouse for two years with the option of extending it by another, the club revealed.

The 31-year-old, capped 35 times, has been at Toulouse since joining from Stade Rochelle in 2002.

Elissalde, who can also play at fly-half, is presently out of action until the end of December after undergoing an operation on a finger on his left hand.

Elissalde is the fourth Toulouse player to extend his contract this season.

South African No 8 Shawn Sowerby signed a two-year extension, again with the option of extending it by a year, joining Yves Donguy (three years) and experienced prop Jean-Baptiste Poux (four years).
