John Smit ready to play again

Having been ruled out since Dec. 31 because of a sprained right knee, John Smit will return to action this weekend against Montauban on Saturday.

His French club Clermont had been living on the edge for six weeks hoping that they would not suffer another front row injury and their relief is as much as John Smit’s himself.

“It has been almost two months since I have not played with the team.” he says on the Club’s website.

“This has been pretty hard. Faced with Montauban, be sure that I will do everything to be at the top. ”

John Smit picked up his injury in the early days of being at the club when he was adjusting to his new surroundings.

Rumours soon followed that he would be leaving the club which surprised Smit,”I learned this in the press.

“But I have a contract with Clermont and I will not leave the club.

“What is important right now is to regain the ground, face Montauban Saturday. ”
