Wales call up Walker as replacement for Williams

Eli Walker has been called into the Wales squad

Wales coach Warren Gatland has added Ospreys winger Eli Walker to his squad for the Rugby World Cup as an injury replacement for Liam Williams.

Williams was released from the Wales squad on Sunday after he injured his foot playing against Australia at Twickenham.

The twenty-three-year-old Walker was originally named in Wales’ World Cup squad but was released due to an injury he sustained before the tournament began.

Walker will join the rest of the Wales Rugby World Cup squad immediately.
