Ulster got their first win of the season on Friday night when they beat Edinburgh by 13 points to 9 in the Magners League on Friday.
The result means that Ulster move off the bottom of the table.
Ulster led 7-0 at half-time after David Pollock scored a try which was converted by Clinton Schifcofske.
In the second half Ulster could only add to more penalties by Schifcofske but Edinburgh failed to cross the line at any point in the match and had to rely on Blair and Godman’s boot to earn three penalties.
