Toulon and Stade Francais fined for Top 14 Rugby brawl

Toulon and Stade Francais were both fined 5,000 euros on Thursday for a mass brawl which overshadowed their French Top 14 clash last month, the league’s disciplinary committee (LNR) announced.

Toulon prop David Banquet and Stade counterpart Rodrigo Roncero were suspended for 10 days while Toulon’s South African scrum-half Norman Jordaan was banned for 20 days for punching an opponent.

Stade won the match 19-13.
