Steyn preferred to Plisson by Stade Francais

Morne Steyn starts for Stade Francais

Springbok flyhalf Morne Steyn will start ahead of France international Jules Plisson for Stade Francais in their European Champions Cup quarter-final against Leicester.

The South African was named ahead of the French man as the struggling French champions face a rematch against a team who beat them to second place in the pool stages.

Another South African, Jono Ross, will start in the back row with Willem Alberts covering that position from the bench, meaning France international flanker Antoine Burban misses out altogether.

Leicester have picked an all-Antipodean back-row with Australian flanker Lachlan McCaffrey lining up alongside New Zealand pair Brendon O’Connor and Michael Fitzgerald.

Another Aussie, Peter Betham, starts at outside centre while Englishman Freddie Burns is prefered to Welshman Owen Williams at fly-half.
