A SANZAR Judicial Hearing has found that Henry Speight of the Brumbies contravened
Law 10.4 (j) Lifting Tackle, after he was shown a red card during a Super Rugby
match at the weekend.
Speight tip tackled Stormers centre Juan de Jongh in the Super Rugby qualifier
at Newlands on Saturday.
A statement from SANZAR said that before sanction could be determined, “Further
information has been requested for consideration by the Judicial Officer.”
“No comment from any party will be made until the hearing is complete.”
The Brumbies leave for Wellington on Thursday and look set to make the trip
without Speight.
