Durban based Super Rugby franchise the Sharks have announced that they have signed former Springbok hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle for the 2016 season.
Rallapelle had a breakthrough year in 2006 when at 19 he made both his Super Rugby debut for the Bulls as well as his first appearance in the green and gold.
He went on to represent his country on 22 occasions and also made 69 Super Rugby appearances for the Bulls.
Commenting on his signing, The Sharks Director of Rugby, Gary Gold said,”I am pleased to have acquired the services of a hooker with the pedigree of Chiliboy Ralepelle.”
“He is a brilliant player with a strong work ethic and will be an asset to our squad.
“We look forward to welcoming him to Durban.”
