Sale Sharks earned their second win of the Aviva Premiership season by bearing Leicester Tigers 34-30 at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Although Sale scored first through Mike Phillips Leicester went into the lead with two tries from Australian Peter Betham before Sale hit back with a try of their own from former Tiger Paolo Odogwu
The conversion levelled the scores and before half time Sale had taken the lead at 24-20.
Halani Aulika added a bonus point try but was then sinbinned which allowed Leicester back into the match and they scored their third try when Adam Thompstone went over.
The conversion brought Leicester to within a point but Sale added a penalty and held on for the win.
