The All Blacks kicked off the seventh Rugby World Cup in New Zealand
against fellow Islanders Tonga who held the All Blacks to their lowest
ever score for the Tongans.
2011 Results HERE
The sixth Rugby World Cup was held in France and New Zealand were
again installed as the favourites. The rest of the Rugby World with
a few exceptions had not had a pleasant period after the 2003 Rugby
World Cup with many teams suffering from record breaking/equalling
losing streaks. While other teams have suffered New Zealand's All
Blacks dominated and spent the four years ranked as the number one
team.
2007 Results HERE
The fifth Rugby World Cup was held in Australia. One year out from
the tournament the schedule had not been released and the co host
had just been relieved from it's hosting duties. The Australian hosts
bounced back from a poor start and by the end of the tournament they
had put on the best Rugby World cup yet.
2003 Results HERE
The fourth Rugby World Cup was again held in the United Kingdom (&
France). Wales were the hosts and had just finished the magnificent
Millenium Stadium which hosted the Rugby World cup final. The most
memorable match of the tournament (if you are not a kiwi) was the
Semi final between New Zealand and France.
1999 Results HERE
The third Rugby World Cup was held in South Africa and it was their
first tournament after having been out in the sporting wilderness
through political boycotting. It was widely accepted to have been
the most succesful Rugby World cup at that stage and was a huge party
for the locals who saw their team in a World Cup for the first time.
1995 Results HERE
The second World cup was held in the United Kingdom (& France)
with the final at Twickenham in London England. The All Blacks were
expected to win it but as history shows things didn't go according
to the plan for the All Blacks.
1991 Results HERE
The first Rugby World in 1987 was held in New Zealand with assistance
from Australia. Only a few weeks before the tournament some teams
had not confirmed that they would attend and thought that the Rugby
World cup would not take off.
