Sharks Director of Rugby Gary Gold has named his Currie Cup team to play the
Pumas at Kings Park in Durban on Saturday.
The Sharks have played four Currie Cup matches so far and they have a record
of won two and lost two.
Gold was unable to select a number of players due to injury so changes had
to be made.
Cobus Reinach comes in to replace Michael Claassens who is on the injured list this week.
Odwa Ndungane – Rib joint sprain , Michael Claassens – Lower back contusion
, Lourens Adriaanse – Labral tear (right shoulder) , Khaya Majola – Meniscus
injury , Jean Deysel – Tricep muscle strain , SP Marais – Knee and ankle injury
were all not considered for selection due to injury.
“Physicality is going to be a critical element against the Pumas,”
said Director of Rugby, Gary Gold.
“They are not a massively elaborate team, but what they do they do well.”
