Aviva Premiership Rugby Club London Irish have confirmed that last year's Premiership top point scorer, Tom Homer, has re-signed with the Club for a further two seasons.

Since joining the London Irish Academy in July 2008, Tom Homer has gone on to be one of the brightest young talents in the Premiership. This was reiterated after last season's effort which saw him win the Aviva Premiership Golden Boot and he also received the London Irish Player of the Season award and was voted Players' Player of the Season.

Tom scored 321 points last season, 278 of which were in the Aviva Premiership. The full back also crossed for five tries.

Homer first caught the eye while playing centre for England's unbeaten U18 side in 2008. He burst onto the club scene in dramatic style on his Premiership debut for London Irish, scoring two tries against Saracens as an 18-year-old in November 2008.

London Irish Director of Rugby, Brian Smith said: "Tom is a World Class footballer and a future England player. He has a big match temperament, an incredible boot and in my view is one of the most complete players in the Aviva Premiership. "

"More important than all this is the fact that he's an outstanding character and a future leader at this club. You'll be hearing a lot more about Tommy Homer - he's destined for great things with London Irish and England".

Tom Homer said: "I have enjoyed my time at London Irish since joining the Club back in 2008. It is a great environment to train in and I love playing at Madejski Stadium. There are definitely good times ahead."
