Former England flyhalf Charlie Hodgson has been ruled out of all rugby for a "number of weeks" due to a facial injury.
Hodgson fractured a cheekbone playing in the Aviva Premiership against London Wasps in the closing stages of the match.
The flyhalf has already undergone undergone surgery to repair a fractured cheekbone on Monday but when he can return is not yet known.
The injury is a blow for Saracens as Hodgson has been enjoying good form and the Premiership club have already lost Owen Farrell for the next month as he is on England duty.
