Clermont's Scottish international lock forward Nathan Hines has been banned for six weeks for stamping a Heineken Cup opponent last weekend.

Hines, 35, was cited for the stamp on Welsh winger Morgan Stoddart in the first half of the French side's 49-16 win over Llanelli Scarlets last Saturday.

Clermont will not appeal the ban leaving Hines sidelined until December 1.

He will be replaced in the squad by Loic Jacquet for Saturday's European Cup trip to face Exeter.
