The Wallabies have been hit with another injury blow ahead of their Bledisloe Cup clash against the All Blacks in Brisbane with the loss of hooker Saia Fainga.

The Reds hooker broke his had in training on Tuesday and has been replaced by James Hanson on the bench.

Fainga's is the latest in a very long line of injuries that have ripped through the Australian national rugby team this year and comes after winger Dom Shipperley was also ruled out with a wrist injury.

Shipperley missed training on Tuesday and was sent for scans which will determine whether he goes on tour with the Wallabies next month.

Earlier this week winger Digby Ioane was ruled out of this week's match with a knee injury.
