The TriNations will not be known as the Four Nations as widely expected and is set to be renamed the The Rugby Championship from 2012.
SANZAR bosses in Sydney will unveil the new name and the 2012 match schedule on Tuesday.
Rugby League already has a Four Nations and a Quad Nations so SANZAR went with the simplistic "The Rugby Championship" for a new name.
The name name does however allow each nation to sell off the naming rights in that country such the current champions Australia have sold the name the Castrol Rugby Championship.
The new tournament will see each team playing the other teams home and away for a total of six Test matches.
It is expected that Australia's first of three Bledisloe Cup clashes with world champions New Zealand will begin The Rugby Championship in Sydney.
