This match will be a very special match not only because it will decide the TriNations in 2011 but it will also be the last ever TriNations match as next year we will have the Four Nations with Argentina.

Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off. The teams are coming on to the field. The anthems are being sung. Wow, powerful anthem for Australia. Everyone is pumped. Now for the Haka which is the new one (Kapo O Pango) and is led by Piri Weepu. The Wallabies stand their ground for a bit and then form a huddle.
 
0.01: Dan Carter kicks off and we are underway.
 
0.49: First penalty for the Wallabies - they kick for touch.
 
2.00: First line out is a mess for the Wallabies but they recover with a charge down. The Wallabies attack and get to a metre out.
 
3.00: Wallabies hold on to the ball a metre out from the tryline but its slow. Genia swings the ball out to Ioane who is blonde today but the ball goes too high and straight out. We go back for a penalty.
 
4.00: Quade Cooper takes a shot at goal for the penalty and nails it. Wallabies lead.
 
6.00: Wallabies playing with some real intensity - they want this. They get the ball deep in their half and kick downfield for touch. All Blacks win the line out but the Wallabies turn it over and press the All Blacks back. Penalty to the All Blacks - Radike Samo. Carter kicks downfield for touch.
 
8.00: All Blacks running the ball in the Wallabies 25 but it's turned over and Genia kicks downfield. He can't find touch so the All Blacks kick it back. Cooper kicks it back and the Wallabies chase and regather. Cooper makes a break but there is no support and the ball is turned over and kicked out.
 
9.00: Wallabies kicking game is spot on but the line out is seriously struggling. Guildford has a run but is JUST caught and the Wallabies knock on. The game is held up as Richie McCaw is down. He gets up but looks to be in pain.
 
11.00: Wallabies win the scrim and Read is down, the Wallabies attack again and Adam Ashley-Cooper snipes for the line and scores - or does he - we go upstairs.  No try. Weepu held him up and Muliaina snatches the ball off him. Wallabies get an attacking 5m scrum.
 
12.00: Kieran Read is in no shape to continue so he comes off and is replaced by Victor Vito. Scrum to come.
 
13.00: Wallabies win the scrum but it's slow. Very slow. They get the ball out eventually and Ashley-Cooper has another run but is caught. Wallabies retain possession and continue to press. Genia spots a gap, takes it and scores TRY!!!
 
14.00: Cooper bangs over the conversion and the Wallabies lead by 10. Great game.
 
16.00; Wallabies win a line out and Samo breaks. He makes a lot of ground but the All Blacks turn it over and kick downfield. Wallabies kick it back and this time the All Blacks run it.
 
18.00: All Blacks get a four man overlap and Anthony Fainga'a goes in with a huge tackles and knocks the ball out of Smith's hand and the try goes begging. Cooper kicks downfield.
 
19.00: Missed tackles. Australia = 3 (1 in 7) - New Zealand 7 (1 in 6.)
 
20.00: All Blacks pressing at the Wallabies in their 25. Nonu gets over the advantage line. Four phases edging slowly forward.
 
22.00:  Horwill caught offside so we have a penalty. Carter will kick.
 
23.00: Dan Carter takes the penalty kick and nails it. The All Blacks are on the board.
 
25.00: Beale has a run and breaks three tackles but then goes to ground.
 
27.00: Wallabies keeping up the pressure. Cooper is outshining Dan Carter so far.
 
28.00: Wallabies string together 6 phases. Cooper snipes but is caught and the All Blacks attack and then win a penalty in their half.
 
31.00: Wallabies win a penalty as Ma'a Nonu tackles Pat McCabe without the ball. Cooper will kick for posts.
 
33.00: Cooper kicks for the poists and nails it.
 
34.00: Almost from the restart Radike Samo gets the ball and brushes off a tackler and races away. Two All Blacks get to him but he carries them over and he scores - TRY !!! Sublime 50m run.
 
36.00: Cooper takes the conversion and nails it.
 
37.00: The All Black forwards take another blow as Adam Thomson comes off. (Arm/Shoulder injury)
 
39.00: All Blacks win a line out but the pressure is on and they fumble the ball. The All Blacks recover though and press forward again. Nonu looks dangerous but there is a knock forward.  
 
40.00: Genia clears the ball but the whistle goes for half time.

The second half is underway.
 
41.00: Australia have now gone 146 minutes without concedeing a try.
 
42.00: All Blacks are coming up in defence a little quicker this half.
 
43.00: Early nerves perhaps as Genia clears the ball but actually kicks the ball straight into Horwill's stomach.
 
44.00: All Blacks grind out 13 phases on attack and then they win a penalty. Carter will kick.
 
46.00: Carter takes the kick and nails it. All Blacks now need two converted tries.
 
48.00: All Blacks starving Australia of ball this half. They are going through the phases - now 11 - to prevent Australia from getting their hands on the ball. 13 phases now.
 
51.00: All Blacks playing a most uncharacteristic game. 20 phases of slow but steady ball.
 
51.00: 25 phases. Then on the 26th phase Carter breaks out and passes to Conrad Smith who takes a gap and scores for the All Blacks TRY!! Special mention for Ali Williams in creating that.
 
53.00: Carter bangs over the conversion.
 
54.00: Dan Vickerman comes off for the Wallabies. Toeava comes on for Guildford. Possession is now 60-40 to the All Blacks.
 
55.00: All Blacks have completely turned this game on it's head. Huge scrum crushes the Wallabies.
 
57.00: All Blacks playing with more confidence. They are using the phase play and using the short pick and go.
 
58.00: Ma'a Nonu gets the ball and darts through the Wallabies and scores another TRY !!! The All Blacks are back.
 
59.00: Dan Carter takes the conversion and levels the scores. That's 17 points in 19 minutes.
 
61.00: Wow. Just when they needed it Genia breaks from a ruck, he passes to Ioane and he passes to Beale who races away to score untouched. TRY!!
 
62.00: Quade Cooper takes the conversion kick from about 36 m out and misses. Ouch. Could be costly.
 
63.00: Both sides look tired now. Could mean lots of tries to come as tackles slip off.
 
64.00: Wallabies trying to hold on to the ball now. Genia uses the box kick but the All Blacks were offside but we have a scrum to come. Genia goes down with cramp.
 
65.00: Handling errors : Australia 5 New Zealand 10
 
66.00: Penalty to the All Blacks as  Rob Simmons is "beaten by the ruck" which means he was offside. All Blacks kick for touch.
 
68.00: Penalty to the Wallabies in their half as the All Blacks are on attack. They kick for touch.
 
70.00: Penalty to the Wallabies for obstruction by Toeava.
 
71.00: Quade Cooper takes the penalty kick as Elsom comes off and Scott Higginbotham comes on. Cooper misses.
 
74.00: All Blacks trying plenty of tricks but David Pocock wins a penalty on the half way line. Ben Alexander, Will Genia and Stephen Moore to come off for the Wallabies. Burgess comes on for the first time this season.
 
76.00: Burgess makes an early impression as do Saia Fainga'a and Salesi Ma'afu (fresh legs). The Wallabies hold on to the ball and try to wind down the clock.
 
77.00: Wallabies keeping the ball in hand. 11 phases but then they lose it.
 
78.00: All Blacks in their own half but they have the ball. 5 phases and Carter kicks. Beale gets the ball and boots it back downfield.
 
79.00: All Blacks have a huddle and team talk before they go for the line out. The All Blacks win the line out but the Wallabies almost intercept. They do however hold the ball .
 
80.00: Penalty to the Wallabies - they kick it out and win the TriNations.
