The Free State Cheetahs' Springbok flank, Heinrich Brussow will not be able to play for his team in the Currie Cup due to a rib injury sustained at the Rugby World Cup.
Brussow was forced to leave the field early in the Springboks 11-9 Rugby World Cup quarter-final loss to the Wallabies with a rib injury.
"I'm not yet exactly sure how severe my injury is and I still need to visit a doctor. I think it's cracked," Brussow told Volksblad newspaper.
Brussow has been ruled out of the Cheetahs match with Griquas at the Free State Stadium this weekend and is almost certainly ruled out of the semi-finals a week later.
The Bok flanker had been experiencing problems with his ribs before the clash against Australia.
