Southern Kings snap up Strauss for Super Rugby

Super Rugby's newcomers for 2013 the Southern Kings have reportedly signed Cheetahs centre Andries Strauss.

According to unconfirmed reports the Pretoria born former Sharks player has agreed to join the Kings for next season.

The Southern Kings are also believed to have signed Steven Sykes from the Sharks.

Strauss joined the Cheetahs in 2011 from the Sharks and went on to be named Captain and Vice Captain.

The Southern Kings are understood to be close to announcing a number of new signings for the new season at which time Strauss' signing will most likely be confirmed.
