The Crusaders are confident that Canterbury Super Rugby fans will flock to their new Christchurch Stadium and fill the 18,000 seater to capacity this weekend.
The drive to sell tickets for the first Crusaders home game since May 2010 is well underway and early on Wednesday there were only around 3,000 tickets left.
Chairman Murray Ellis says after the first game, the benefits will be obvious, even with the troubles of the past 18 months.
"We're conscious of that, but this is a good stadium, there's a lot of covered seats, the facilities are good and I think once they get things set and be part of it, it won't be too much of an issue," he told NewstalkZB.
Ellis added that they're comfortable with where they are sitting four days out from the game.
The concern is that Super Rugby fans will keep visiting the new stadium throughout the season.
