The Reds are on a high after their second surprise victory over last year's finalists the Chiefs.

That victory showed that their victory over the Crusaders was not a flash in the pan and that they are a team not to be taken lightly.

Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off. The Force kick off and we are underway.

.00: The Force start with a pretty solid build up. After 7 phases they are called back for a penalty after the advantage.

.00: Positive stuff from the Force as they go for the line out instead of the kick but they go long at the line out and it all goes bad for them.

.00: Penalty to the Reds. Brett Sheehan takes the kick and misses from a fair distance out it should be said.

.00: The Reds put a little pressure on the Force and Anthony Faingaa slips off a tackle and scores the first try of the match.

.00: Quade Cooper nails the conversion.

.00: The Reds play some simple rugby sucking in the Force's defence and Hynes slips off a tackle and they send the ball wide where Luke Morahan pops the ball down over the line for the second try.

.00: Cooper misses the conversion. It's a point a minute.

.00: The last five minutes has been 93 per cent possession for the Reds.

.00: The Reds give away a penalty so James O'Connor takes the kick and scores the Force's first points.

.00: The Reds get a fortunate bounce and Digby Ioane gathers the ball and darts off for the line and scores the third try for the Reds.

.00: Cooper takes the conversion and nails it from the touchline. Cooper's form is currently streets ahead of Giteau's.

.00: The Reds get  a penalty but they choose to take the line out. They win the line out and drive for the line. They get over it but are held up. 5m attacking scrum. Reds give away another penalty so Cooper takes the shot at the posts.

.00: Cooper adds the penalty.

.00: The Force are struggling to get anything going really. They give away a penalty which is how the game is going for them. The last five minutes has seen every decision go against them.

.00: The Reds run the ball after the penalty and Digby Ioane dives over after another bit of style from Cooper. We go upstairs to check the grounding. The try is good and the Reds have a bonus point.

.00: Cooper adds the conversion.

.00: Cooper sends over a beauty of a pass through to Anthony Faingaa who darts off for his second try. The Reds are running away with this.

.00: Cooper adds the conversion again.

.00: Pek Cowan goes down injured so we have a break in play.

.00: Cowan gets up but the siren goes so it's half time.

The half time score was Reds 36  W. Force 3

The second half is underway.

.00: The Reds start well but the Force hit back and run the ball up and into the Reds 25.

.00: Sharpe has run for the Force but the whistle goes and Peter Hynes is shown a card.

.00: The Force drive for the line and they get over it. We go upstairs to check if they scored. Footage is incomnclusive so we have a 5m scrum.

.00: The Force swing the ball out after the scrum and they use the numbers sending the ball wide to Nick Cummins who dives over for the first Force try.

.00:James O'Connor nails the conversion from the touchline.

.00: Cooper tries the the cross field kick for Morahan but it goes out.

.00: The Reds try the pick and drive which gets them over the gain line. As they go wide the Force give away a penalty. Stuart Dickinson comes in and reports a high tackle by Brett Sheehan.

.00: Sheehans gets a warning only but Cooper gets a kick at posts. The Reds have lost their edge a bit in the second half. Cooper misses.

.00: Dane Haylett-Petty takes a quick tap and darts off but his pass goes straight to Scott Higginbotham of the Reds who shows a good turn of pace and darts off to score another try for the Reds.

.00: Cooper nails the conversion.

.00: Cooper makes a break down the touchline but he tries to be too fancy and puts in a Campese goose step and knocks the ball out of his hand ! Try gone begging.

.00: It's pretty much all the Reds. They have enough of a points difference to be able to throw the ball around. They set up a 5m line out. Faingaa is in the bin.

.00: The Force turn the ball over and kick it to safety.

.00: Will Genia snipes off the back of the scrum from 5m out but gets tackled and he loses the ball in the tackle.

.00: The Reds are still picking away at the Force as rains starts to come down. David Hill puts in a professional foul so he is shown a yellow card. The Reds go for the line out but the Force win it.

.00: Will Genia snipes and passes to Scott Higginbotham who runs through and around the Force defenders and scores his second under the posts.

.00: Ben Lucas takes the conversion and nails it.

.00: It's still all the Reds and  Morgan Turinui comes close to scoring but the touch line wins.

.55:  The Siren sounds. The Force keep the ball alive but the Reds turn it over and Hynes kicks is out. That's it - Reds win.
