Cardiff Blues kicked off the Anglo Welsh LV= Cup with a 22-17 victory over their former coach's team London Wasps at Cardiff Arms Park

Substitute fly-half Ceri Sweeney scored a brilliant individual try to win the game, barging through three attempted tackles to touch down under the posts.

Wasps went into the break 14-7 ahead as Elliot Daly's try and three Tommy Bell penalties cancelled out Cardiff full-back Dan Fish's stunning early try.

Two tries in 11 minutes in the second half from Tom James and Sweeney secured the win.
